The proscribed Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF) has organised its 39th
raising day, “Independence Demand Day” observation solemnly at its
general headquarters, council headquarters, central headquarters,
central bureau, division of the central bureau; SR – 1, SR – 2, SR -3,
SR – 4, general headquarters of People’s Liberation Army, its tactical
command, strategic command, 252 mobile battalion and other units of PLA
and its units, departments and stations on February 25th.
A release signed by secretary publicity, Roben Khuman said the day was celebrated at division 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 under central bureau with hoisting of the flag, festoon and star etc and organised along with the people.
The main features of the celebration was giving respects to the flag of the party and paying homage to the martyrs who had laid down their lives for the motherland, followed by reading of the president, RPF, Irengbam Chaoren’s message for the people. Let the message given on the 39th birth anniversary provide the ability to make all the indigenous people of Manipur come together and sacrifice for the motherland and able to able to coexist together with love and respect for one another, it said.
