A new agreement grants 65,000 for the Friulian Language

A collaboration agreement between the University and Agjenzie regionâl pe lenghe furlane (ARLeF). It means 65 thousand euros for training courses and teaching materials for the different levels of the Friulian language for the purposes of linguistic certification of the Friulian language. The University of Udine and the Agjenzie Regjonâl pe lenghe furlane (ARLeF) have signed a collaboration agreement today which will see the two bodies collaborate in the organization of training and updating courses and in the creation and publication of texts and teaching tools for the learning the Friulian language, with the aim of preparing anyone who wishes to obtain the linguistic certification of the Friulian language.

The agreement was signed at Palazzo Antonini-Maseri by the rector of the University of Udine, Roberto Pinton, and by the president of the ARLeF, Eros Cisilino, also the representatives of the agreement itself, Fabiana Fusco, delegate of the University of Friuli for didactic innovation and teaching training, and William Cisilino, director of ARLeF, as well as the director of the Interdepartmental Center for the Development of the Language and Culture of Friuli (CIRF) and delegate for the promotion of the Friulian language and culture of University of Udine, Enrico Peterlunger.


The agreement has a three-year duration and can be renewed for a further three-year period. For the realization of the activities planned for 2020/22, ARLeF makes a total funding of 65 thousand euros available to the University of Udine. As part of the agreement, the University of Friuli will carry out scientific, administrative, organizational and management coordination activities; ARLeF will provide its language skills and collaboration for the implementation of the planned initiatives, as well as take charge of promotion, information and communication activities.
