Thousands mark the Galician Fatherland Day

It was the centenary of the first celebration of the Galician Fatherland Day. The Bloque Nacionalista Galego (BNG) held Compostela, A Coruña, Ferrol, Ponte Vedra, Vigo, Ourense and Lugo, with a strong separation between those present to avoid contagion. The nationalist formation thus celebrated the recent election results with 310,137 votes (23.80%) and 19 seats and ensure that it is now the alternative government.

The Spanish police was deployed in Compostela on the eve of the day and blocked the traditional fable of the independence youth movement. Despite this, the Mocidade pola Independência network, created in 2018, brought together 150 young people in Compostela in a march under the slogan 'Let's fight precariousness by building Galicia' heavily guarded by Spanish police with shotguns.

Causa Galiza
participated in the XIII Human Chain for the Freedom of the Independentist Prisoners of Ceivar-OPAR and Que Volten! and that it gathered about 250 people in spite of the strong police presence. He also supported the departure of the MpI.

Finally Agora Galiza, which had as guests Nación Andaluza and Herritar Batasuna, held a rally in the capital where about 50 people listened to Carlos Morais who defended Leninism and the Cuban revolution and Paulo Vila tore up a party poster Spanish Vox.
