Angola denies FLEC-FAC attacks and the movement publish a video with them

Angola's Cabinda Governor Marcos Nhunga denied to the press that the Frente para a Libertação do Enclave de Cabinda-Forças Armadas Cabindesas (FLEC-FAC) does not exist and there was no armed attack on Cabinda. Nhunga resorted to a traditional wisdom that says: whoever kills a snake, must show the stick. And he demanded that FLEC-FAC post photos or videos of the respective attacks.

In reaction, FLEC-FAC Lieutenant General Afonso Zau said that the armed attacks on the border communes of Massabi on June 2, 2020 and on the 6th and 7th of the same month in the commune of Tando Zinze are not inventions. FLEC-FAC manipulation. "FLEC-FAC must not deceive international opinion on a serious and sincere problem."

Both the press and the civil society of the two Congos denounced the retaliation of the ANGOLA armed forces in these territories, after the armed attacks that led to the death of their troops and two guerrilla militiamen: Stanislaus Sumbo Pongo Gomes and Nzita Lelo Maienze.

In an audio and video statement the FLEC-FAC shows some images of these armed attacks and even cites documents and a note that is in one’s pocket. See the video for more details on the FLEC-FAC reaction:
