Several prisoners of conscience, including Abdelkrim Zeghileche and Lazhar Zouaimia, were released on bail on March 30. The information relating to these decisions was relayed by the National Committee for the Liberation of Detainees – CNLD, as well as several lawyers. However, one fact will have caught the attention of observers: none of the imprisoned women activists has so far benefited from this political approach. Indeed, in Algeria, six women have been in prison for several months. Deprived of their children and families for expressing a political opinion.
